Fundamental Research for Development of Disaster Information Map Standards Visualization Model

Integrated Disaster Map composition is a main project. It is hard to recognize the necessity of integrated utilization and infrastructure although it should be used as the fundamental resource for composing disaster map for effective disaster prevention and disaster reduction planning establishment. This study is to provide specific means for integrated utilization and disaster information map standards visualization model development through disaster map composition and utilization condition analysis. Improvement factors for composition has been deducted, which is prospected to contribute to minimizing casualties and property loss, and disaster recovery cost from inundation.
Factors such as disaster information standards, disaster information visualization standards, disaster information service standards, process standards, etc. should be determined to establish disaster information map standards visualization model.
 
  • Analyze disaster information web service that is being serviced in each organizations in order to suggest disaster information service standard model that has high information approachability
  • Analyze disaster information map display information specialties for disaster information map visualization standards in order to provide specific visualization standards structures by classifying factors that are needed for map composition, such as related agencies, shelters, evacuation process, geographic information, etc.
  • Establish appropriate disaster information map standards settings considering disaster information visualization, spatial range for information display, etc. in accordance with disaster information map layout standards
